The Armenian Ministry of Defense reports that one Armenian serviceman was killed and thirteen taken prisoner in yesterday’s clashes along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

The ministry, in a statement today, says that 24 Armenian servicemen are reported as missing.

The ministry says that Armenian troops killed or wounded some seventy Azerbaijani soldiers in the fighting.

Russian mediation resulted in a ceasefire.

Negotiations are underway, with the mediation of the Russian side to resolve the situation and return the captured Armenian servicemen.
