Pashinyan's Remarks on Artsakh Status Raise Concerns in Stepanakert

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s claim today, voiced in the Armenian National Assembly, that the international community is demanding that Armenia “lower the bar on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh, has raised serious concerns in Karabakh.

Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan today convened a meeting of parliamentary representatives, the country’s Foreign Minister and Security Council Secretary to discuss Pashinyan’s remarks.

According to a statement released by Harutyunyan’s office, NGO representatives voiced their indignation over Pashinyan’s remarks and demanded that urgent consultations be held with parliamentary and extra-parliamentary forces to draft a common and clear political position in this regard.

Harutyunyan stressed that the Artsakh authorities will not abandon the struggle for the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination, promising to fulfill this public demand.

Ohhhh! Isn't it cute that the separatists of Karabakh still think that they have any say at all about the future status of Karabakh. They really do live in a fantasy world!
