Marseilles March in Solidarity with Artsakh
Hundreds marched in Marseilles on January 15 in solidarity with the Armenians of Artsakh. The march began in Missak Manouchian Square, named after the WWII anti-Nazi resistance fighter, and ended at the Prado Armenian Apostolic Cathedral, passing by the Turkish consulate.
Pascal Chamassian and Gerard Krikorian, who led the march and are the founders of the Running for Memory association, condemned Azerbaijan's month-long blockade of Artsakh. According to Nouvelles d'Arménie, the marchers called on the international community to take steps to open the Lachin Corridor, the only land route connecting Artsakh with Armenia and the outside world.
A similar gathering, organized by the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations of France, opposing the Lachin Corridor blockade, will take place in Paris on January 17, at 6:30 p.m. in front of the French National Assembly.
