
Ex Presidential Candidate Gets 14 Years for Ordering Hayrikian Hit
Vardan Setrakyan, who ran for the presidency of Armenia earlier this year, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for ordering the assassination of Paruyr Hayrikian.
Hayrikian, also a presidential candidate, was shot and wounded during the campaign on January 13 outside his house in Yerevan.
The two individuals charged with organizing and carrying out the hit, Khachik Poghosyan and Samvel Haroutyunyan, received 14 years and 12 years respectively
