Counting Sheep...How Many Does Armenia Actually Export?

When it comes to the import/export of live animals, Armenia is mainly an importing nation.

In 2011-2012, the animals that Armenia exported were mostly sheep and laying hens and their chicks.

According to Armenia’s National Statistical Service, Armenia exported 2, 825 head of sheep in 2011 and 31, 169 last year, mostly to Iran.

Interestingly, in November of 2011, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Grisha Baghinyan publicly announced that Armenia had already exported 135,000 head of sheep for the year.

Whose numbers are correct is anybody’s guess.

Oh, come on, give them a break. They don't have to know math to head the government. Just kidding, he must've been counting feet and not heads..))
