Armenia-Russia Draw 2-2 in Round One at World Chess Team Championship

The 2013 FIDE World Chess Team Championship kicked off yesterday in the Turkish seaside town of Antalya.

In 1st round action, Armenia played to a 2-2 draw with Russia.

This year's championship is a single round robin among ten teams - Armenia, Russia, USA, Germany, Turkey, Azerbaijan, China, Ukraine, Holland, and Egypt.    

In other first round play, Germany beat Egypt 2.5-1.5. Azerbaijan beat Turkey, China beat Holland, and Ukraine beat the USA, by the same score,

Today’s matches are Egypt-Armenia, USA-Russia, China-Ukraine, Azerbaijan-Holland, and Germany-Turkey.

The championship ends on December 6.
