Man Implicated in Buffalo Meat Scam Builds $181,000 Refrigerated Unit for Artsakh Army
Albert Ohanjanyan, accused of supplying the Artsakh Defense Army with frozen buffalo meat instead of beef last year, is compensating for damages incurred by building a 150,000 ton refrigerated unit (valued at US$181,000) from his own money.
The unit will be handed over to the Artsakh Ministry of Defense.
Ohanjanyan and four officers had been under pre-trial detention, they were later released in their own recognizance.
The officers and the head of the army’s food provision division were discharged from service.
In the meantime, Ohanjanyan’s fraud trial continues.
