EURO 2016 Qualifiers: Armenia Continues at Bottom of Group I

Playing at home, Albania defeated Armenia and Portugal beat Serbia 2 -1 in yesterday’s EURO 2016 Group I qualifiers.

Euro 2016 hosts France blanked Denmark 2- 0.

Thus, all teams have played four games each. Portugal leads with 9 points, followed by Denmark and Albania with 7. Serbia and Armenia trail with 1 point apiece.

Armenia has yet to win a game.

In the next set of qualifiers, Armenia hosts Portugal (13 June), and Denmark hosts Albania (4 September).

The top two teams from the nine groups plus the third place team with the best record will advance. The other eight third place teams will enter a play-off stage to select the four to advance to the Euro 2016 finals scheduled to be held in France from June 10 to July 10, 2016.

The 23 teams will join hosts France who has automatically qualified.
