Ijevan: School Strike and Mass Protest March
There are an estimated 3,000 anti-government protesters marching through Ijevan, a town of some 21,000 that serves as the capital of Armenia’s northeastern Tavoush Province.
Among their ranks are the parents of protest leader Nikol Pashinyan.
The protesters have closed the M4 highway and have said they are ready to march all the way to Yerevan to ensure that the current government, a coalition of the Republican Party of Armenia and the ARF, resigns.
