Yerevan Zoo's Zebra Dies; Large Amounts of Arsenic Found in Animal's Blood
The zebra at the Yerevan Zoo died today, one week after its keeper found the animal prostrate in its pen.
A autopsy found large amounts of arsenic in the zebra’s blood.
An investigation has been launched according to a statement released by the zoo’s management.
Local specialists, consulting with veterinarians from Poland, Holland, Estonia, Russia, Iran and Georgia, attempted to save the animal.
