At the March 23 trial in which Lernapat Mayor Vano Yeghiazaryan is suing Hetq reporter Andrineh Torosyan for libel, the plaintiff declared that since the defendant was a former student of his, the reporter had deliberately sought to defame him.
20 years ago this day by the decision of the Foreign Ministerial Council of the Conference for Security and Cooperation in Europe the Minsk process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement was launched. As a result the Minsk Group and its Co-Chairmanship were formed with the goal to reach a peaceful settlement through negotiations, based on the basic principles of international law.
Since the Armenian Genocide, we Armenians have come a long way in reinstating the historical truth: historiography, diplomacy, lobbying. Being well aware of the power of culture, we have also been talking in the language of culture about the state crime committed against us.
Launched as a response to Estonian idea, “Let’s Do It 2008!”, “Let’s Do It! Armenia” will motivate people to become actively involved in cleaning-up of Armenia.
