The US-based security firm Mandiant has released a report detailing hacking it says was conducted by a cyber unit of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA). The report alleges that the group of hackers, dubbed Advanced Persistent Threat 1 (APT1), has been conducting cyber espionage “against a broad range of victims since at least 2006.”
“On February 18 you proved that the citizens of Armenia are worthy of a better life and government. This was an uprising against injustice, hopelessness and the exodus,” Rustamian declared.
Addressing the throngs of supporters today in Yerevan’s Freedom Square, Raffi Hovannisian said that a yesterday’s meeting at the Presidential Place Serzh Sargsyan refused to recognize the “victory of the people”.
“We will only register a victory when we have been able to force the regime into confessing the violations they have committed and when the government declares the official elections results as invalid,” he told the crowds.
Singer-songwriter Ruben Hakhverdyan took the microphone and told the throngs attending the rally in Freedom Square “that the people have instinctively assembled to rid themselves of the regime, of these wolves.”
