Thousands marched in Bucharest and several other Romanian cities on Sunday to protest a plan to open the largest open pit gold mine in Europe in Romania.
At the end of the trial proceeding, Hasmik Sharbatyan, sister of the slain attorney, began to cry out loud and approached the accused shouting, “You tortured him, the three of you. They couldn’t recognize his face. I’ll pluck your eyes out Diloyan.”
American-Armenian businessman and philanthropist Gerard Cafesjian died today at the age of 88.
