The hearing in the case of Sargis Hakobyan, accused of assaulting his wife, continued Tuesday at the Gegharkunik District Court of First Instance. Prosecutor Lazaryan made a motion to attach to the case and be admitted as evidence Sargis Hakobyan and his wife Hasmik Khachatryan's daughter Varsik Hakobyan's testimony that her mother never hit her.
Hetq journalist Ani Hovhannisyan yesterday evening was questioned by Senior Gavar Police Investigator H.V. Mkrtchyan, who informed her in writing that on the basis of her report, a criminal case (No. 40101214) on grounds of RA Criminal Code Article 258 Section 1 ("hooliganism") was launched on May 8 , 2014, with the Gavar Police Department’s Investigative Division. An investigation is underway.

The Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the RA Ministry of Justice has put on the auction block [AM] the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. The starting bid for the historic building is 19.35 billion AMD (about $48 million USD). The bid notice states that the sport and concert complex is loan collateral.
