Today Ambassador Heffern met with some members of the Armenian Yezidi community at the U.S. Embassy. They discussed the current situation for Yezidis in Iraq and the U.S. involvement there.
The Shengavit Preserve is under the jurisdiction of the director of the Erebouni Museum, Mr. Gagik Gyurjyan. Erebouni’s director receives government funding to maintain three archaeological sites: Erebouni, Garmir Blur, and Shengavit.
