The OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Dunja Mijatović, and the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Nils Muižnieks, today condemned the sentencing of Azerbaijani journalist Khadija Ismayilova.
Khadija Ismayilova, who is known for her investigative reporting on corruption in Azerbaijan, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison today by the Azerbaijani authorities.
Colonel-General Gourgen Dalibaltayan, who served as Chief of the General Staff of Armenia’s Armed Forces during the 1992 Battle of Shoushi, died today at the age of 89.
