According to previous WB estimates published in January this year, economic growth in Armenia was projected at 3.1% in 2021, 0.3 percentage points lower than the new forecast.

Acting Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, at a campaign rally in Syunik’s Metz Mantash community, reiterated his proposal to Azerbaijan that he is ready to send his son to Baku as a hostage in return for the return of all Armenian captives.
“How many bullets did they buy? Let them say. They talk rubbish. They’ve plundered for three years,” Sargsyan said, referring to Pashinyan’s government.
