Judge Artur Mkrtchyan will announce on Friday whether ex-Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, now detained on charges of usurping state power during the March 1, 2008 post-election public protests, is eligible for bail or not.

Kocharyan defense attorney Aram Orbelyan told reporters today in Yerevan that he also lodged a complaint with the court protesting a motion filed by the state prosecutor to extend Kocharyan’s detention by another two months.
