It's Official: Narine Khachatryan No Longer Member of Armenian Parliament

Armenian National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan today officially confirmed the resignation of Im Kayl (My Step) MP Narine Khachatryan.

Khachatryan was elected to parliament from the national electoral list of the “My Step” alliance of parties on December 9, 2018.

It was rumored that Khachatryan had been picked to head the new Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. Khachatryan neither denied or verified the rumor to reporters when she filed her resignation papers on May 31.

Arayik Harutyunyan was appointed Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport on June 1.
