The Armenian government has allocated 18 million AMD ($38,000) to organize events marking the 100th anniversary of Yerevan State University.

A gala ceremony will be held at Yerevan’s Opera House tomorrow at which Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will offer their congratulations.

84 representatives of scientific and educational spheres from 21 countries, from Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Russian Federation, Georgia, USA, France, Czech Republic, etc. have arrived in Armenia to participate in the 100th anniversary celebrations.

Dr.  Tomáš Zima, Rector of Karlova University of Prague, will also deliver a welcoming speech at the official ceremony to be held at the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet on September 27.
