Armenia 2019: Corruption/Abuse in Military Leads to $25.1 Million in Losses
Summarizing it investigations for 2019, Armenia’s Office of the Military Prosecutor (OMP) states that financial losses to the government resulting from corruption and abuse within the military last year surpassed the total of such losses during 2013-2018.
Overall, the OMP says it uncovered AMD 12 billion ($25.1m) in losses to the state due to corruption, embezzlement, official abuse of power and other infractions.
The OMP says 154 such cases were officially registered within the military.
