Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, by phone today, thanked U.S. President Donal Trump for brokering a peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan that was signed on August 8, 2025 in Washington D.C.
The French Foreign Ministry, in a statement releaed today, praised the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan for taking important and bold steps to make peace a tangible reality for their peoples.
In 1958, Soviet and American military aircraft clashed twice in the skies over Armenia. The first incident occurred on June 27, the second on September 2.
The two also discussed the implementation of the TRIPP route in accordance with the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, 2025.
