Pashinyan, Putin Discuss Fighting Along Artsakh-Azerbaijan Border
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke by phone today with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the outbreak of fighting along the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border.
Pashinyan, according to a statement released today by his office, expressed deep concern over the hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan and said continued fighting is unacceptable because it might lead to the involvement of regional players.
"Vladimir Putin has expressed deep concern over large-scale hostilities. The Russian president stressed the need to take necessary steps to prevent further escalation of the conflict and to end hostilities," the government's statement reads.
