61-year-old Sousanna Petrosyan dreams that one day the Hrazdan Mash machinery plant will once again provide jobs to area residents.
The number of children has dropped so much that a part of the kindergarten building has been allocated by the city authorities to the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre.
It was the World Bank that financed the modernization of Hrazdan Medical Center, comprised of a hospital, polyclinic and maternity ward. All four buildings were renovated and outfitted with $800,000 worth of equipment and furnishings.
The woman says that although she’s 47 years old, she must climb onto the roof every day to try to stop the rain from leaking down. However, covering the roof with materials at hand doesn’t seem to work anymore. The rain constantly drips from the ceiling. When the heater is on, the damp smell becomes intolerable.
