Marchers demanded that Sargsyan (nicknamed the ‘bringer of bread’), be buried at the Yerablour Pantheon.

The friends of Michael Sarukhanyan, who is participating in the Yerevan street protest against an electricity rate hike, had a surprise for him last night.
A phalanx of riot geared police confronted thousands of protesters marching up Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan yesterday evening.
Seeing their path was blocked, the marchers decided to stage a sit-in then and there. Early this morning police moved in and forcibly removed hundreds of demonstrators with the aid of water cannons.
The nine, wearing Guy Fawkes masks and holding images of Harutyunyan, were taken into custody without any explanation by the police.
